DCWC Nepal is a Northwest based charity (Registered in the UK with the charities commission, No 1106591) aimed at improving the lives of the poor children, women and peoples of Nepal. Specialising in education and health, the charity builds schools in remote regions of Nepal and provides vital health facilities in areas where there are no hospitals or medical institutions. Nepal has now become a desperately poor country and has become more and more reliant on overseas aid.

DCWC Nepal has provided funding for schools in villages where the nearest schools have been many hours walk away with each school being able to educate a minimum of 150 children. DCWC Nepal also provides adult education classes for women.

Mobile health camps have also been set up, and funding is being raised at the moment for a permanent health clinic. The charity also provides clothes distributions in the poorer regions with clothes donated here in the UK .

DCWC Nepal is a group of 9 dedicated trustees all of whom have been to Nepal to engage in projects and who give up their time voluntarily to try to make the lives of the poor of Nepal that little bit more bearable. We also are very privileged to have our friend Sean Wilson (Martin Platt from Coronation street) as our Patron, though Seans hands on attitude to his role within the charity makes him feel more like a tenth trustee.
